I have worked in child protection at DFPS and HHS for nearly a decade as an investigator, investigation supervisor, and inspector. As an attorney, I work hard to hold investigators and inspectors accountable to following their own policies and procedures. I’m passionate about providing my clients with a thoughtful analysis. I regularly represent clients in administrative reviews before Childcare Enforcement to challenge improper citations issued by HHS’ Childcare Regulation. From permitting issues to defending against citations and enforcement actions, I have the expertise to defend you and your operation. I’m intimately familiar with the Minimum Standards and specialize in helping troubleshoot areas of risk within your operation to reduce deficiencies.

I can defend you in your due process hearings both before DFPS staff and before the State Office of Administrative Hearings.

I also spent time as a Child Care Investigator, investigating allegations of abuse or neglect in regulated childcare settings. Holding HHS accountable is important to me, and I’ve guided my clients through investigations and challenging any resulting findings within each agency during administrative reviews and also in due process appeals before the State Office of Administrative Hearings.
